UI Encryption Setup

Enable master-password lock and session encryption

OpenNex has built-in UI encryption, ideal for sensitive environments.

Master password

Open Settings → Security → Enable master password and set a strong password. You’ll need to enter it on every launch.

In Settings → Security → Auto-lock, choose an idle timeout (1/5/15 minutes). The UI locks automatically when the timeout is reached.

When enabled, all terminal session history is encrypted on disk with your master password and can only be restored after entering it.

Note: a forgotten master password cannot be recovered — keep it safe.
